The Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System helps empower patients with the choice to share their glucose data with up to 10 Followers. Dexcom Follow works with the Dexcom Share feature of the Dexcom G6 app to make that possible.*,†
Customisable circles of care from anywhere
The Dexcom Share feature within the Dexcom G6 app allows users to share glucose data with friends, family, and/or caregivers via compatible smart devices.*,†
Sharers select whether their Followers can view their glucose trend graphs and whether or not Followers will be notified of hyper- and hypoglycaemia at specified thresholds and intervals. The Dexcom Share feature is designed to notify Followers of glucose activity that may require the sharer's intervention, helping them stay connected when it matters most.
Getting started with the Dexcom Follow app
Dexcom Follow exclusively syncs with data from a patient’s Dexcom G6 app.*, † In order for a designated Follower to begin receiving a patient’s glucose data and/or alerts, the patient must manually choose to share their data first.

Refined remote monitoring options support patients across multiple age groups
Dexcom G6 is the only CGM system indicated for individuals ages two years and older, helping to support patients in different stages of life.
Paediatric-aged sharer
For children using Dexcom CGM, having one or more Followers is associated with lower mean glucose, less time in hyper- and hypoglycaemia, more time spent in range, and significantly higher CGM utilisation.‡,1
Adolescent-aged sharer
Sharers can choose who follows their glucose data, giving teenagers and young adults more control over who’s on their diabetes support team.
Adult-aged sharer
The demands of day-to-day life can make it hard for patients to stay on top of their glucose levels—even if they’ve managed their diabetes for decades. They can share with significant others, trusted colleagues, and/or close friends to help them stay on track.
Elderly-aged sharer
Some patients may need greater assistance as they approach later stages of life. Dexcom Follow helps empower sharers who may have more limitations by connecting them to individuals like caregivers, and/or loved ones.
Greater peace of mind
89% of adult Dexcom users who shared their glucose data with Followers*, † reported in a recent study that the feature had helped give them greater peace of mind compared with not using the sharing functionality.2
Reduced hypoglycaemia
62% of Dexcom CGM wearers reported fewer hypoglycaemic episodes vs baseline when they shared their glucose data with one or more Followers. *, †,2
Increased time in range
Having more Followers is associated with greater time in range for youth with type 1 diabetes.*, †, ||,3
